About The Remarkable Goldsmiths

Award winning artisan goldsmith, Isabella Day, truly knows how to create magical, bespoke products. The Remarkable Goldsmiths have certainly forged their own paths in goldsmithing, where they create remarkable, contemporary treasures.

They blend all of their own gold alloys and recycle all of their metal, which has allowed them to create 26 different colours of gold! Their distinctive creative philosophy and unique sense of colour has led them to specialise in distinct, colourful and ethical gemstones.

How we supported The Remarkable Goldsmiths

The Remarkable Goldsmiths’ team approached Ipsa Consulting in December 2023 seeking support with their marketing growth plans. The support provided and key strategies developed were based on information compiled from team workshops and desk based research by the Ipsa Consulting team. High-standard, effective support was provided across various business areas, including in conducting relevant research, managing website improvements, updating social media and email marketing, and making SEO improvements and recommendations.

The process involved

An initial set of workshops helped to lay the foundation for strong marketing strategy by diving into:

  • Vision, Mission and Values - we facilitated a creative and whimisical workshop in a historical location that the client felt was inspiring.

Secondary workshops explored:

  • Target audience, marketing goals, business goals and developing an understanding of the sector’s marketplace more broadly - this was practical planning with flip chart, sticky notes and lots of prioritisation.

The outcomes

Social media:

  • An improved social media presence was developed as a result of consistent posting, generative discussion about relevant topics, and the use of photography that was appropriately aligned with brand vision. Over the two years since this project began, their Instagram channel has increased it.s following by 150%.

Website and SEO:

  • Improvements were made to The Remarkable Goldsmiths’ website, including both design and search engine optimisation.

  • Traffic from Google Search to The Remarkable Goldsmiths’ website increased by 22% compared to the previous year.

  • Orders on The Remarkable Goldsmiths’ website increased by 10% compared to the previous year.

  • Conversion rates (i.e., the number of people that visited multiple pages on The Remarkable Goldsmiths’ website that then resulted in online store orders) went up by 21% compared to the previous year.

General:

  • Etsy listings were improved through use of tactical and relevant keywording, resulting in an improved 3% revenue growth compared to the same period the previous year.

  • Systems and processes were developed internally to help manage their marketing effectively moving forwards.

  • A mailing list was established for the client to promote the ‘cross-pollinating’ of their marketing resources by their target audience.

  • Tailored research for the client on relevant web developers, photographers, and PR professionals provided a detailed base from which the business could continue to develop.

What the client said:

“The process was hugely fun and Cath created fascinating and really interesting ways of finding ideas and [developing] a brand for me. She somehow managed to open up my brain and take out all the useful information! I loved the process of establishing my really key ideas for moving forward. We undertook the workshop in a really interesting place chosen by Cath, one which I found really inspiring and we worked through things in a creative way that I found really helped my brain to sort out what I really thought.

The end result of the workshop process was a beautifully presented document with a clear pathway and some very accessible goals. It’s an easy-to-work-through document that makes all your wild ideas and plans and half-formed thoughts make sense in a very sensible business way, something that often doesn’t feel very accessible for creative businesses.”
